Hi, I recently bought a rainbow boa that was sold as an Argentine but after thinking for a little I started wondering if maybe he's actually a Columbian instead (something I really don't want to have). Here's some pictures of him (he's a bit dull because he was about 2 weeks from shedding, but after he shed he doesn't have too much of a coloration difference). What do you guys think?
That looks like a young Colombian. Argentine rainbow boas tend to have quite a contrast between the lighter markings and darker background colouration. If it is in fact an Argentine, it's not a spectacular one and you may be best to pass on it. Just my opinion, of course.
