I Should Not Have Done That...
...Taken Becka to the Hamburg show, that is. I was hoping to pick a woma python, but there were none to be found, will have to wait for suitable shipping weather now. Did see some nice looking adult black head pythons, but $6k for a pair was a bit more than I was thinking to spend today. Managed to make it through without picking up any more carpet pythons either, and steered Becka away from the red tails as much as I could. Considered a MBK or an Okeetee, didn't see any grey-banded kings that were too appealing, but would have picked up a speckled king if they weren't sooo small that newborn pinks would have been stretching their capacity. I did pick up a het albino tangerine Honduran milk and a fire bull snake, both babies but large enough that they won't be able to slip through the ventilation holes in a couple of plastic totes. Couldn't find the usual seller/deal on cypress mulch, and was pretty well ready to head out, then Becka wanted to check out the Outback Reptiles display that had been so crowded we couldn't see much in passing earlier. They had a young (guessing 1.5-2 years old) Dumeril's with a lighter shading than usual. It had been taken in trade today, and after holdng it for a few minutes Becka decided it was coming home with us too. I mean, come on, I already had 2 new snakes and she just had to pick out another at the last minute??? Women!!!
Will post pics in the appropriate sub forums after they settle in a bit. After an early morning start, 6 hour round trip drive running on 4 hours sleep the night before, and quickly setting up a couple enclosures to house the new additions I then had to strip down 2 90's and a 75 gallon tank. Packed up something over 100 BN and several other species of pleco's, drive another 90 minutes each way to meet and sell the fish, then clean up enough of the resulting mess when I got back home again to settle in for the night. The 90's will be temporary housing for a couple of the larger DRMB's until I finish building the enclosures. After I get those done and order/receive 10 more 4x2 (had enough of building my own, more time and trouble than it's worth to me) the tanks will be moved out and replaced with stacked enclosures. I can fit 4 of the 4x2x18" in about the same lateral space as a single aquarium and stand. Best part of the whole deal, I've been breeding the fish for years and the $1k+ profit from selling them off will get me some nice new enclosures and RHP's for them

What an impressive collection you've built there TnB. I'm really excited to see that fire bull. Congrats on the new additions.

Re: I Should Not Have Done That...
So many different snakes, My main concern at the moment is with the Dumeril's boa becuas ethey had taken it in trade earlier that day. No background on the care, really hoping it doesn't have mites or other issues. It looks healthy enough to me, but I've not seen many Dumeril's to have a good idea of what it should look like. Hoping posting some pics will generate some more informed opinions. The little bull has been out and about his new tub, the wee milk snake has been secluded in a ceramic cave, as expected. That one burowed under the aspen as soon a it was placed in the tub, but since finding the cave seems to prefer the cool end. I presume it was out exploring last night, and tucked back in early this morning.
