I love boa constrictors because...
So why do you love boa constrictors?
For me the main thing is the head shape coupled with the markings on the top and sides of the head. Even the best airbrush artists would struggle to paint such beauty and the way the markings carry on through the eye. To me, simply unbeatable...
Pic of Rachel's head below to illustrate...

I love boa constrictors because they are a great animal to interact with. They are large and impressive, active in your arms, but still very manageable.

Well, I don't "love" them, but I really like them for sure! They are having stunning colors as normals, I like they shape and size. Unfortunately the last one is the factor that makes me unable to get one (I know there are some dwarf localities, but they aren't the same as "pure" boa constrictor)

I love boa constrictors because they get to nice large, but manageable size, usually not defensive or aggressive even with minimal handling, come in a variety of different localities and morphs (I love the pure BCC's the most), and they EAT almost anything. I usually refer to mine as the "garbage disposals" of the collection.

Central American BCI's, (like my Rachel) are a good compromise. Should stay the right side of 6' - particularly a male - but are a true BCI with all that brings.

Re: I love boa constrictors because...
Boa constrictor/Boa imperator was my first love, so they will always have a special place in my heart. When I think of boas (or even of the Family Boidae as a whole), the genus Boa is always the first thing that comes to mind. There is something very ancestral about the look of a wild boa that is ready to ambush prey. The pattern with the nicely-contrasted saddles on a greyish to tan background that terminates in a beautiful reddish to dark maroon is just a feast for the eyes. This combined with the tremendous amount of morphological variation that is naturally present in these snakes makes them very difficult to dislike, in my opinion.

I love how calm they are(generally speaking) and how smooth, the way they feel when you hold them. I love the little mustache too. I also think they are easy keepers except for their size it doesnt take much to keep them happy.

Re: I love boa constrictors because...
I love their slow metabolisms, how it makes them a slow-moving snake and nice and big. Not having to feed them every week, or every 2 weeks, as adults is nice as well, as I have more of a chance to interact with them.
I also like how their size is so impressive. A 6' retic doesn't look 6' because it's so thin, but you really feel the size in a 6' boa, although a 6' boa still is tiny to me. haha But the truly impressive sizes come when you get a boa 7'-8', or 9'+ if you're lucky. I'd even say a 9' boa constrictor would be more impressive-looking than a 9' Burm, there's just something about the big boa constrictors specifically.
The wide variety in wild-types and the blooming morph market is also really cool, there are some truly impressive-looking boas out there! Back when I only knew about albinos, hypos, snows, and such, I wasn't really all that impressed, but now I see a lot of really cool morphs that I enjoy.

I love Boa's because of everything you mentioned and also because they grow large but to a manageable size
