I'm New!
Hello! I've researched corn snakes for 10 months now preparing and saving up the money for one plus all the things it needs. I'll hopefully have one by next week now, I'm so excited. .D Basically I'm looking for more like-minded folks to chat with!

Re: I'm New!
I really love corns! I looked into ball pythons for a while too before I settled on a choice, but my school had an environmental center, with an adult corn in it when I was still there. I fell in love with her, she was just so sweet! Now that I live on my own and such I decided to get everything together for one. My new baby will arrive tomorrow for me, and I set up their tank and got the heat regulated and ready to go. .3 You?

Re: I'm New!
Corns are super sweet! I really like them. A local pet store near me has an adult corn right now - I like to go look at her when I pick up fuzzies for my baby snake.
My favorites are rainbow boas! I have two rainbow boas - one full Brazilian, and on Brazilian/Colombian integrade. I adore them both, and I love how they shine in the light.
If I were to ever get a third snake, I decided I want a black milk snake. Apparently they are super calm, generally.
Be sure to spam us with pictures when you get your corn in

Re: I'm New!
Ooooh, yeah I saw rainbows are some pretty snakes! I learned kings, rats, and corns are all very similar to one another, but I didn't research the other two very much because I was pretty set on the color and pattern selection corns had. I doubt I'll be able to get any more than this one snake, so I made sure to pick VERY carefully, hopefully they're a happy pet for 20 or so years into the future. >w<
I checked alll over, there are no stores near me that have a big selection (and I travel by bus, no personal car for me!) so I decided to order. I ordered a beautiful snow baby from LLLReptile around 2 am on Saturday, I was too excited to wait till this morning. XD I actually got a confirmation email from them around 5 pm on Sunday of all days, so I was all set to go for tomorrow! .D It's going to be hard to sleep tonight. >w<
I've already decided on a name, one that happens to be perfectly neutral: Silent Night. I can call him/her Silence for short. I was so stuck on coming up with a name, but they'll be coming on the 20th of December and be a snow, so I couldn't find it more fitting. >w< Hopefully my camera works well with me tomorrow when they come in! Can't wait to spam my FB account the way my cat-lady friend spams hers too. XD

Re: I'm New!
Great choice for a first snake! Corns are great. Since you're getting involved in the online community, I'd suggest you take some time to figure out what your limits are for snake keeping. If you're active on the forums, you're bound to start wanting more snakes
