I don't like the idea of putting lights inside the enclosure. Sure it takes up a little more room to have it out of the enclosure but i think overall it's safer on the snake.

I hate the finishing process!
I have the 6x2x2 all done now, except I need to sand, stain, and apply polyurethane. UGGGH

I totall agree the finishing process is most difficult!
I am going to build a 8X4X3 cage, I hope I can survive the sanding, staining and the most horrible applying polyurethane. I use those gas mask with two filters but still help for a certain extend only!

Cutting straight! I swear my saw is warped! I am to the point of buying specific legnths so I don't have to cut stuff! yea yea, go ahead and laugh. I am so bad, my wife got me a saw guide with instructions not to saw it in half.

Finishing an enclosure is definately the most time-consuming and irritating for me. Whether varnish or paint, by that time I just want to be done.
