Awesome. I can handle her and everything. But every now and again she gets in a mood and I don't handle her. Now the black earth tiger I don't even touch.

Re: Love my tarantulas
Pretty cool! One of my spiders is also very tolerable of handling, but since i overreact to their hairs i never touch mine (if i touch the bedding my skin is itchy and irritated for several days)

That's awesome you can handle yours too. That sucks about the hairs. What kinds do you have?

Re: Love my tarantulas
Tsubaki is good at convincing people that spiders are adorable with she talks about them though lol.
Every so often I catch myself thinking of doing a nice set up when I get my house. NO idea what kind, but pretty sure it will be something bigbut calm enough to handle...just in case I get the nerve up lol

Re: Love my tarantulas
Very nice! I have a "Chilean tiger rump"; WC- I've had varying opinions from experts on the actual species, but seems like Euathlus parvulus(formerly Paraphysa parvula) or something closely related...looks exactly like your "goldburst" but with a metallic green carapace instead of gold. Real sweet girl, very relaxed and easy to handle. Love the dwarfs.

They are interesting animals. I've always been intrigued by them. All you have to do is put a some substrate in ( enough that they can dig) and a hide. You can also put some fake plants in and just let them go
