Hello everyone! New around here, though I've always loved snakes.
When my kids were growing up we had a garter snake. We also spent hours at the local zoo in the reptile house. I've always loved herps. I held my first herps as a kid on the, "you can't do it, you're a girl" dare. I could and I did
My grown son has kept a pet male African house snake for 13 years that is very dear to me.
I got back into snakes myself this spring with a beautiful normal baby corn snake named Dolly. He escaped his enclosure in September and is still missing.
.
I couldn't handle being without a little scale friend, so I went to NARBC Tinley in October and brought home Cleo. She's a butter motley corn snake. She was hatched in August and is still a baby at 13 grams.
I think all snakes are awesome, but as far as keeping goes, it's docile and easy for me. I'm also strictly a pet keeper. I have no plans to breed.
I'm looking forward to hanging out here and learning more about more kinds of snakes. They really are all wonderful animals!
