Possible RI. Handling advice for vet appt tmrw?

So I posted just a few days ago about my two new burms. Well, I came home last night to find a bit of a mess in the albino's cage. He had drank/spilled some water out of his ceramic dish. When I took him out to clean it up he regurged a ton of mucous/water and had the "pouch' look on his neck that is classic with RI's. He then proceeded to spew feces that was only semi-solid and contained a fair bit of gooey brown mucous. He doesn't make any sounds while normally breathing but I have noticed the odd gurgle in his stomach area... Hopefully he was just regurging water out of distress at being handled.

When I got him only a few days ago, it seemed he had eaten recently because he appeared quite full, I'm wondering now if he was bloated from an RI. Temps are 84-86 on the cool end depending if the snake room door is open and 88-90 on the hot, with a UTH hot spot reaching upper 90's low 100's . Humidity between 55-65, though it does drop eventually because the newspaper doesn't hold it very long.

I scheduled a vet visit for 9am, but he is very nippy and 10 feet long. I've never had to use force to restrain a snake, as I've always raised very docile animals, even my big retics. Any advice for the vet visit? I know I'm going to have to be tough on him but I don't want to hurt him.

When i take a really large snake to my vet, i try to bring atleast 2 extra friends with me to help restrainment (there's always 2 vet techs as well that help) even for the seemingly docile animals, sample taking and probing and whatnot could even make the 'tamest' snake strike out of frustration. Vet visits are evil, but a nessecary evil. More people to restrain it means no drugs + less strength per individual, less chance in bruising. Also a lot less chance of someone getting wrapped, and the back person gets to hold the messy end over a tub/sink.

if i call my vet she always asks me if im coming back with 'that one'... (adult grumpy Java retic, that slammed everyone around the room while she just needed 2 stitches)

Well it's going to be interesting a culture done for an RI.

I think the water just came out of the mouth. It happens and once it's in the throat/body it looks a little mucous-y.

She was big, but not rediculously so. Around 16ft i think she was, but moody and pushy, didn't shy from the ocassional attempted bite ... Generally ok to handle outside the tub, but did not like vet visits.

Guess I should update this thread. My grandma almost passed that weekend and I didn't make my vet appt. Since then the albino green(Tony) hasn't shown any further signs of an RI, he's finally eaten a meal and mellowed out much more. It was definitely just regurgitated water. So relieved! lol
