health question on my rat snake
So i got my rat snake almost 2 weeks ago. He ate two mice on friday and now when i hold him I can feel his backbone. Is there something that could be causing him to lose weight or should i feed him more often? I dont know what could be wrong. I will post some more recent pictures and pictures from when i got him.

Re: health question on my rat snake
Hm, 2 adult mices are good for snakes that size. One of the thing that can cause weight loss are parazites or protozoa. My 2yo corn snake was rapdily losing weight and after vet visit it turned out that she was having protozoa. She received medicines, and now she's slowly gaining her weight back.
I would watch him closely, try to weight him once in 2-3 weeks, and if he will be definitely losing weight then go to the vet for check up.

Re: health question on my rat snake
That just looks like minor scale damage should heal in a shed or 2
