Wee Snapper
Few pix of a baby snapping turtle that Becca talked someone out of. It was found in the middle of the road a few weeks ago, and she brought it home. Fed the bugger pretty well on some of the hundreds of endler's livebearers that crowd a 75 gallon aquarium, then earlier today we took him/her out to the C&O canal and released it in a better spot than it was found. I was quite surprised at how much the little shellback could pack away. No clue how big the stomach would be, but apparently big enough to pack in 7-8 fish, some (females) that had to be taken down in pieces.
Is it a common or alligator snapper?
