I'd like to see a better image but it looks to be a Crotalus durissus, usually called a South American Rattlesnake or Neotropical Rattlesnake. Could you upload the picture to a photo hosting site like Photobucket and link it?
Right, C. durissus was split into three species with this paper in 2004, the the animals found in Central America being reclassified as C. simus. Thank you for the correction.
