Can I use plywood as a basking spot?

Hey, I just built a massive enclosure for my blackthroat and have a few raised platforms for him to climb on including one of his basking spots. Will the wood be ok with the light above it?

I wouldn't see why not... I would probably stain/seal it first though

That's what I used to use for my argus monitors basking spots. Never had an issue and the argus get a slightly hotter spot aswell.
