Re: Here's my Ball Python
Very Cool! I love the orangey colour contrasting the blacks! i've always been a fan of purple lamps as well. My python lives in my bedroom and the purple night lamp gives the whole room an barely perceptible glow by night haha

Re: Here's my Ball Python
That cat is like his girlfriend she sleeps on top of his enclosure and she sits there and watches him. If the dog goes near his enclosure she'll defend him. Very interesting couple

Re: Here's my Ball Python
Question: Eggsy is growing and he seems to want more than a mouse now. This past week he ate 2 mice. I'm not sure if that's fine or should he eat something bigger? What is the next step or if 2 mice is ok? I'm not sure if he can swallow a small rat. Any insight?

Re: Here's my Ball Python
Honestly depends on how big you want the snake and how fast. If you want a big snake fast, 2 mice isn't bad. And imo healthier than say 2 rat pups. However, general rule of thumb is that the snake should eat 15-20% it's body weight a week.
I technically underfeed my BP because he is also very lazy. So, at a whopping 506 grams, he gets one regular sized mouse once a week, and he still gains weight! I do offer a rat pup every now and then as a treat and will probably up him to large mice once the current mice are gone.
Hope this was helpful. =)
