-whats in that bucket daddy? -Surprise!!:D
I live in a very ''wild'' area.. and across the international road (in front of are property) we have a old torn down factory(storm blew it apart) and cos of all the little critters around here and the money it would take.. we never got it cleaned up.. So.. i arrive from school and i see a bucket on the table with a plywood on top of it.. as i say hello to my dad.. he tells me he was something to show me.. he sead it came from the ''other side''...and BAAM! this baby shows up! a ENORMOUS TARANTULA! OMG!
This is not the first time.. but the ones a had before where smaller and i cought them from the town next to us.. ha ha
Now.. i just cant find a name for him.. my previous tarantulas where named.. Dracula, Dracula the second and finally the third.. but the fourth would be too much.. ha ha please help!
(the seting i currently have him in i will upgrade )

Cool. Do you know which species it is? It looks a lot like Acanthoscurria chocoana, but there are lots that look similar.

That's one fierce looking tarantula. If you want to stick with the vampire theme you could name him Vlad, Vladimir or Lestat.

I'm man enough to say I'd probably scream manly like a little girl if I encountered one of those in my house by surprise.

I wanna say Nhandu carapoensis. Not red enough on the abdomen for A chacoana...and the legs are too fluffy to be Acanthoscurria at all, in my opinion. It's true that a lot of other species are similar, though.
As for the name, I do like Dmont! Nice name. Does he have a temperament to match such a name?

Looks like a great setup! If you at LEDs, I would suggest using red ones. Red light seems to be the only light that doesn't disturb them.
I don't see a water dish in there, though? Did you just not get a picture of it, or does he not have one? If you'd rather not have a water dish, you should keep the substrate moist. dehydration and dried lungs are quite dangerous.
