Update on clutch #1
Well, its only been 1 week and I had to check the positioning of the eggs and take a pic. I did have to move the eggs closer to the middle of the tub. This was a pied x albino pairing. Keeping toes and fingers crossed.

The male is 100% het albino too correct? The female is just albino? I think that's what you said before.

No, the male is a 2012 regular pied and the female is a 2010 visual albino.

Re: Update on clutch #1
Thanks, I am hoping the odds gods will give me healthy hatchlings first. Then I want a visual pied or albino or both.

I really don't want to be the bearer of bad news but you'll get zero visuals in that clutch.
Both pied and albino are recessive. You'll end up with all normal looking healthy babies that carry both genes. The only way you'll get visuals is if one of the parents is het for other.

^^ this.
Double hets are still cool though.
A male from this clutch put back to your female albino will give you albino poss het pied. 1.1 raised up could give you albino pieds, pieds and albinos. It's a fun little project.

Stranger things have happened. Thanks though and I appreciate that.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. There is always that possibility of a exception and the production of something unexpected and out of the ordinary scheme of things. I still want healthy over all else and thanks for the breakdown.

Re: Update on clutch #1
Either the genes are there or they're not. In the case of recessive genes it's pretty much black and white. You could "hope" for a hidden het somewhere but to be frank about it, both albinos and pieds are sought after. If there was a chance of even a possible het you'd know.
Honestly, good luck but unless they are both het for albino and pied respectively you'll be hatching out double hets which isnt a bad thing.
