I randomly came across these guys in a deep search online of random snakes.
anyone keep these things? very cool little guys

I love the babies, and I always love to see animals that have drastic colour changes as they grow, but...adult ringed pythons are kind of bleh in my opinion. Some nice iridescence, I suppose, but that's not enough for me to take notice. Maybe Savu pythons would be worth looking into? They hatch bright orange and turn all black with white bellies as they grow.

patrick, i didnt know that they lost their colours so quick... i havent done much research.
PP, ill look into them. (edit: aside from their eyes, im not really into them too much)
im really not a ball python fan so much so im looking into other species of pythons any other species come to mind guys?

Check out the anteresia genus. Water pythons are cool too

i did look into perthensis a bit, but im not overly attracted to them. they are cool though. water pythons are indeed cool! i like the yellow undersides

White lipped!!!! Probably my next purchase. The northern (gold phase) stay on the smaller side, and cbb babies are said to be less defensive and nippy than the species has a rep for. They'll ta me down acording to the way you handle them. Plus the iridescence on the gold is insane. Northern lights on a snake. Never underestimate how cool iridescence can be - I'd love a ringed python for exactly that reason. Water pythons are on my short list too, they look like oil slicks with yellow bellies  .

Philly knows where its at. I've been wanting a white lip for a couple years now. Good luck finding one CBB.

I agree, white lips are stunning animals. No drastic colour change with age, but they look awesome nonetheless. All the ones I've seen have been too snappy for my taste, but I'm not sure whether those have been CBB or WC.

I found a CB black phase at the last expo I went to, around 5 ft. $400. He was calm while in the tub but as soon as the lid came off he was ready to fly out of there. I really wanted it, lol.
