whats more scary were the comments that followed the video. people didnt see a venomous potentially dangerous animal.. they saw a cute snake that was completely harmless.

Man, the definition of irresponsibility! After all we do to show how reptile keepers are safety conscious above all else. There should be times when if you do something that dis avows all sanity with your reptiles that they should be confiscated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All sanity and SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!!

I maaaay get flamed for this, but, I believe that a reptile owner should be able to handle the animal as he/she sees fit, so long as it doesn't endanger the animal....but...and this is a big BUT...it should not be video taped and shared with the 'general public'.

Still stupid that this guy did this...just my 2 cents.

On another note...is it just me or did it look like a cubed piece of meat and not a 'whole' food item?

I see it as an Incredibly selfish act being that 1 it's completely unnecessary and 2 it will absolutely affect the rest of the responsible Venomous keepers such as myself and others, if some one who's suppose to be trusted with venomous is free handling there snakes.

And that's your opinion, which is by far the more common one and SHOULD be followed by more hot keepers. I'm just a 'freedomist' (I think I just made that word up...). My beliefs are that so long as it does not cause harm to others (physical, emotional, mental, financial ect), that people should be left alone behind closed doors. I feel little or no need to protect people from their own stupidity when it comes to self damage.

Again, I know it's not a popular belief, and I hardly press it upon others, but it's mine all the same.

I agree and disagree with you minkness... We live In nations where you have free will to do mostly what you want and if it involves free handling hots, that's your choice! But it comes with a price to all who keep hots like when this individual gets bitten. Probably for the better that its not legal to have them where i live- this way the carless hot keepers don't post videos like this on youtube

Exactly! And just suppose he is not a certified hot keeper, gets bitten and the media is all over the story. He could of just as well fed that animal with a pair of tongs and been safer. The media will run with a story like that and here we go as a reptile nation with another huge setback. Come on, its easy to do the right thing.

Lol. Theirs no 'intention' to my views. They are just my thoughts on it. And since we don't live in a perfectly 'intelligent' world, you guys are spot on about how the news would be sensationally broadcasted with a negative view. That is also 'wrong' imo. But I have no power over that of course.
