Strange behavior after eating
I was watching Atticus eat tonight and after he swallowed his rat he started poking at it in his belly with his nose for a while and actually tried to bite himself. After a few more pokes with his nose he left himself alone. Think he was just looking for more and got confused?

Re: Strange behavior after eating
This is odd! Maybe the meal rubbed up against him and he still smelled it? Or, was the portion especially large this time and causing him discomfort?

Re: Strange behavior after eating
Smaller than his last two meals, just 10 percent of his weight, but he is a vigorous eater and still coils around his thawed meals before eating, that's why I'm thinking he smelled it on himself. Silly boy!

Re: Strange behavior after eating
My pit kept chasing her own tail looking for a dead rat. Then she bit herself. Sometimes they're weird.
