wet box for woma?

What do you guys say? I get my woma next week. I know they like it dry. My humidity is roughly 56%. Would you suggest an additional wet box with some spaghnum moss? Or should i drop this idea?

Re: wet box for woma?

I don't and I wouldn't recommend it. I only have a small water bowl (Not big enough to soak in). When I first started keeping I would raise the humidity once a week and during sheds, but stopped this when I realized it wasn't needed. 56% should be perfect, mine fluctuates from about 50-65 depending on weather here and I've never had shed issues associated with low humidity or blisters / RI associated with high humidity.

My humidity switches between 53 and 57%. So you are propably right and i will skip that wet box idea.

Re: wet box for woma?

No need for a wet box but, womas and BHPs both love to burrow through substrate.
I provide for all my womas and BHPs a hide that they can enter from the top (like a tub with a hole in the lid) with spag or orchid moss in it.
The only downside is they stay in it a lot but mimics their natural behavior more closely than plain ole newspaper.

Enjoy, they're a wonderful species.
