Re: help identifying Cragslist identifying help!!!!
I don't know what snake it is but my experience with kijiji or craigslist is any pet owner that keeps an animal in crappy small conditions doesn't want to hear that they are doing it wrong. If you learn the type of animal and are willing to care for it go for it just leave out anything that points their mistakes. I've seen silver arowana being sold in a 30g tank, I know this isn't is a fish forum but a silver arowana can grow to 5ft and need a several hundered gallon tank to live properly. Just an example of the vast piss poor knowledge of a lot of pet keepers have.

That does appear to be an African Rock Python, but the picture is so small I can hardly tell. You can go ahead and post the add so we can look at it.

Re: help identifying Cragslist identifying help!!!!
That add confuses me, the snake doesn't look 12-13ft and 55-60lbs. That looks like a 55g tank. Also the phone number in a weird code is odd as well.

Craigslist will not let you put phone numbers in add descriptions so people use that "code" to get around it. The part about wrestling does seem a bit weird though.

Re: help identifying Cragslist identifying help!!!!
Male Burms actually average about 8', and rarely get over 10'. Females can get over 10', but as far as I know don't usually get much over 13' on average. The 15-'17' Burms are truly huge animals.
If that lamp is one of the small ones, I'd guesstimate the snake at 7'-9', which is still a good size. If it's been underfed, I'm sure it will have a bit of a growth spurt with some food.

If we could get a nice picture of the scales on his head we can tell what kind of python he is.

I'm 100% sure that's a Burm. The pattern is completely wrong for an Afrock, so it's definitely not that, and the only other snake that looks like that is the Indian python, but it's coloration doesn't look right.
