Re: Introducing .... Tiger.

Gorgeous!! Love the name.

What steps do you take to quarantine? I haven't had to do this because I usually don't own more than one snake at a time and the last two I got have both come from the same person.

Re: Introducing .... Tiger.

Basic quarantine for 30 days and he is in a different room from the main collection. He is observed closely for any signs of illness and or injuries. He is fed every 10 days like every other snake here. Most quarantines are for 60 to 90days and more intense than mine. He has passed on all of the tests. Tiger comes in well fed x 2. Prior owner had him on small rats live. He took f/t medium rat on first attempt with me. Took it with no hesitation. THANKS.

Quarantine varies person to person and even from snake to snake.

If I know the seller, the animal stays in a separate room for 30 days Or 3 consecutive meals. The animal is treated with Nix.

If I don't know the seller ans I'm not sure of the conditions they have The animal gets sprayed at pick up. I spray myself and the car. Then when I get home latex gloves come on. A temp enclosure prepped with Nix is waiting. If the weather is favorable the snake gets unpacked outside and all original packaging is double bagged and thrown away before i get inside. Gloves come off and also get thrown away i also may change my shirt. The animal stays as far as it can from my collection. No handling. I have sepeeate hooks, hemo stats and disposable water bowls. This quarentine can last anywhere from 30 days to 120

So far I have never gone the full 120
