Looking to be a Blood Daddy
As the title implies, I have recently again been bitten by the bug to enlarge my reptile collection. Of all the animals I've kept, I've grown increasingly enamored with my snakes. Currently, as my signature shows, I've got a Ball Python, a BRB, a Sand Boa, and a Corn.
Now, as I've gotten more comfortable with keeping snakes, I've decided to "go bigger." First, I started researching into BCIs, but their adult length has me apprehensive because I don't think I can fit a custom enclosure big enough for one. This thought eventually led me to Blood Pythons due to their heavy bodied but still relatively short lengths. (Adult sized enclosure would probably end up being an Animal Plastics T8 [48Lx24Dx12H]). EDIT: I'd be keeping it in appropriately sized tubs as it grows. Won't be putting a baby snake directly into a 4'x2' tank!
So my question for you guys is this. Where do you get your Bloods from? I've been scouring Kingsnake Classifieds and found what SEEMED to be some good deals, but I'm not entirely sure.
Kingsnake.com Classifieds: Baby Red Blood Python, (Python brongersmai) $110 -SALE!
This ad in particular caught my eye. Does anyone have experience with First Choice Reptiles?

Check VPI. I know they breed bloods and morphs but unsure on price. Quality would be exceptional though.

I have no personal experience with FCR but I do know they ship and house wild caught animals, so just keep that in mind if you order from them.

Re: Looking to be a Blood Daddy
I'd stay away from the kingsnake.com flippers and wholesalers pimping out farmed bloods for cheap. There are plenty of reputable breeder/hobbyists in the US to choose from. Try the group "Blood Pythons" on FB, lots of great folks on there to deal with. Feel free to PM me, I'd be happy to recommend some top notch folks.

First off what kind catches your eye the most Borneo's, Red's or SSTP aka Blacks?

Red's most definitely, followed closely by Borneo's. The blacks are gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but the python I have now is pretty darkly colored, and I want to diversify my collection!

Then you should check into the Redbull or Mater line Red's. They are some of the nicest looking Red's with the classic brick red color.
