pvc enclosure recommendations
Im looking to start switching my terratiums over to pvc. Can anyone recommend a good inexpensive brand/manufacturer. Something from canada would be ideal for shipping but not necessary.

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
All of my snakes are in pvc enclosures made by Greg West of Cornel's World Terrariums out of Calgary, AB. He is a great guy to deal with with great products!

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
Can't speak for shipping to Canada but animal plastics are great cages for about as cheap as they come.

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
You might also consider Constrictor's Northwest Constrictors Northwest Ed makes excellent quality cages and the prices include shipping, at least with the US.

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
Constrictors northwest dosent seem to be taking orders until april. Animal plastics seems strange when placing orders it dosent appear that they do the assembly. Whereas cornels world terrariums seem like they would come more turn key ready

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
Not sure what shipping would cost to get them out east but he does visit various shows in Canada so would be worth contacting him to see if he will be out your way any time this year. He has all the things you will need for the enclosures and will install lights and heat panels, etc. If you check out Stewjoe's picture thread in the general python forum you will see his enclosures.

Animal plastics does not assemble. It's sent broken down and shipped flat. But it's very easy to assemble. All the screw holes come pre drilled. All you do is line up the holes and screw them together. You can complete a cage in 15 minutes.

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
I've been looking at AP and CNW enclosures also. I think I'll go with CNW because I like the sliding doors and unobstructed frontal view.

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
I bought my 48x24x16 from Herphouses based in Oakville. They have standard sizes and do custom as well and for $30 you can have an LED strip installed.

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
Jason from Herphouses wont steer you wrong. As trailblazer says he is in Oakville Ont. You will not find better PVC cages anywhere.

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
Ya so far herphouses are the most inexpensive option. the fact that theyre local is also a plus depending on shipping cost pick up is certainly an option. Does anyone have tanks form there? Are they good quality? Also does anyone who has dealt with them know if they will do a price break on multiple units?

Re: pvc enclosure recommendations
I only have 1 herphouses 48x24x16 and 1 powerbox 24x24x12. I bought the powerbox first not really doing the research there could such a big difference between one plastic box and another. I learned the hard way it might say 24x24x12 but it's actually 23x23x11. Personally I prefer the herphouses cage, there cages are true to size. It was Jason who told me that size when he inquired what make of cage I already had, because I asked honestly whats the quality difference. He gave an honest detailed answer that was very helpful. I had to measure it myself but sure enough he was exactly right. Jason was easy to deal with, I was emailing him on a weekend with questions and he was responding within a few hours. He answered every question I had, wasn't pushy about making a sale. I bought my cage with an LED strip and a second strip for my smaller cage and when I picked mine up he explained how he installs the LEDs, what size drill bit to use etc. Any future snakes I have I will be buying herphouses cages for them.
You'd have to email him and ask if you'd get a discount on multiple units.
