Question

Hey so I've heard that somewhere between the 24-48 hour mark after being fed the snake should use the bathroom... Not!

I've had my girl for 2 weeks and 2 feedings and there is nothing in her cage, she hasn't gone. Is this alright? What do I do? Just leave her alone?

Re: Question

Sometimes a warm bath makes them go.

Re: Question

24-48 hours? no, it takes longer than that mainly depending on the snake and prey size. Mine takes about a week.

are you sure its not buried anywhere? when my king was young, she would take a dump at the bottom of the tank under all the bedding.

Re: Question

I agree with Kyle. If she's eating small meals she may not have much waste to expel, and as he said sometimes they'll bury it under the bedding. My snakes take about 3-4 days after a meal to poop but when they were on pinks sometimes they didn't go at all and other times they had very little waste. Do you feel any hard spots or blockage near her cloaca? If so, a warm bath might help as Wrecker suggested.

Re: Question

Snakes don't always go on the regular. Just keep feeding them and they'll go.

Re: Question

Ok this makes me feel better! She's on fuzzies and growing like wildfire so I can see her not having much waste.

Nope I sifted through the aspen and nothing anywhere.

I don't feel any hard spots what so ever, I am going to give her a bath tomorrow though so we will see what that does.

Thanks guys!
