5 Foot Long Enclosures/Cold Blooded Enclosures
I wanted to get a 6 foot long enclosure, but that's just a little too long to fit in my car. A 5x2x2 enclosure would be perfect and I've found one that's about that size from Cold Blooded Enclosures, but I've read mixed reviews about that company. Has anyone here heard anything good or bad about their PVC enclosures and are there any other companies that make a plastic 5x2x2 enclosure? Thanks
60 x 24 x 17.5 PVC

Re: 5 Foot Long Enclosures/Cold Blooded Enclosures
Cold blooded enclosures use abs, not pvc. I would not recommend them from personal experience. Most of the cages came with popped out panels(bad packaging) and all of them came late(several months later than estimated delivery).

The cage I'm looking at is a PVC cage (open link), but those are the sort of negative comments I've heard about ColdBlooded/ReptiRacks before. It's too bad, that cage is a really good size for me.

Must be a new line of cages. You shouldn't have problems with the packaging then, since they'll come unassembled. But I'm not sure if the lead times have gotten better.
Animal plastics makes custom sized cages. Give them a call or send an email about the size you want and they'll make it for you. AP is one of the most reputable reptile caging manufacturers around.

Constrictors Northwest makes custom enclosures also and I know that he has done the 5ft size before. I don't think he has them advertised on his site so you'd probably have to email for prices.

Re: 5 Foot Long Enclosures/Cold Blooded Enclosures
Constrictors NW did have a five foot cage listed at one point, but not anymore. I think he does custom sizes however, so I'm sure he could still do it. I love my proline, it's fantastic. I will always recommend his cages.

Re: 5 Foot Long Enclosures/Cold Blooded Enclosures
Thanks, guys.
I hope it's alright if I ask you all another question. If I order a 60"x30"x30" cage could I heat it to 80° with either a 120 W or a 160 W Reptile Basics radiant heat panel and a Herpstat? Or should I order a 60"x24"x24"? My room temperature would be around 70°.

I guess it would depend on how big the panel is and such, what the airflow is like in the cage and a bunch of other factors. It's always been a personal preference of mine to try the smaller one first, if you can't get consistent temps after a week you exchange it for the next model up.
