Boa Would Not eat rabbit

My customer's boa would not eat the 1lb rabbit given to him. This is the second time this has happened. Any ideas why the boa would not eat the rabbit?

Re: Boa Would Not eat rabbit

There could be many reasons for that, R4S. First and foremost are either improper living conditions (temps off, not enough cover, too much traffic) or being close to shedding. Have the keeper check both of those first. Good luck!

MAke sure the rabbit is an appropriate size for the snake, warm, (fresh killed or thawed and warmed)
the temps in the enclosure , humidity,
are you feeding it in or out of the enclosure, when was the last time it ate,
has it eaten rabbit before?
