Snakes in hats

Opinions on snakes wearing hats? I think it's so adorable when they put hats on a make "sweaters" (tubes?) for their snakes, however I don't like it when there is a tight strap to keep the hat on.

Re: Snakes in hats

Very cute as long as it doesn't hurt the animal.

Is this an invitation to post pictures of snakes wearing hats?

Re: Snakes in hats

Yeah, no...this is where we would prob just shake hands and talk about something different. I can't wrap my head around a dog in a sweater, let alone a snake in a sweater (or hat)....

Carry on...

Re: Snakes in hats

Kinda with you there MTD lol

Some dogs I get a little bit. Mine won't go out in the snow without her little coat x.x Spoiled...but it's not a 'fashion' thing. Just a little cover for her back that wraps around her tummy lol. I hate it...but mom thinks it's cute lol. If she would go out in the snow without one, she wouldn't have one lol.

Re: Snakes in hats

I find snakes in hats hilarious. Mostly people just set tiny hats on their heads and take pictures while they sit still. No harm in it.

My Christmas/Yule photos were my little MBK sitting there staring at me after I put a bunch of (not sticky!) bows on top of him. He didn't care. :P

As to sweaters on dogs--some need them in the cold. See Greyhounds, for example. And...sometimes people are being silly, but well.

Re: Snakes in hats

I have a boxer dog and she has a coat. She gets so cold in the winter.

My dogs need jackets too when it gets cold. They have very short and light coats.

I haven't had a snake that that would sit idly by if you were doing something that bothered them.
