Re: Thayer's King
Thayers are pretty variable. I like all the ones I've seen.

Re: Thayer's King
Very interesting. I've got 2 males and 2 females, all of which are different in color and pattern. The pictured snake looks like what I imagined I'd get if I crossed my milk snake phase female with my buckskin male. But you're right, that's a cool snake pictured there. Thayeri are great snakes, easy to care for and quite beautiful. Very calm for the most part also. If I have someone over who's interested in the snakes but maybe a little hesitant, I pull one of these guys out.

Ugh, another contributor to my angst that I can't own ALL the kingsnakes.

Re: Thayer's King
Not easy to find. Checked the various classifieds and contact a couple breeder with no luck for a good color Milksnake Phase. One breeder will have some in spring though. I hate waiting.

Re: Thayer's King
The coloration seems to vary a lot on these guys - I have a gorgeous gray and orange guy. All beautiful.

Re: Thayer's King
Yes, Steve, it very much resembles a grey banded king. Just a little extra pattern in there - beautiful color combination.
