Winter attitude change?

So my previously mellow MBK has become a right pisspot lately about being handled. Literally, seeing as how I keep getting peed on, and the rattlesnake tail displays I get are...impressive.

Could it be the weather change? He's eating fine, just...disgruntled at being brought out, it seems.

MBK in question is under a year old, I've had him since July.

Re: Winter attitude change?

My MBK musks every time I pick it up, but he/she is still a baby and they tend to be more like that. It's quite possible that is contributing to it. Since the cool weather, a couple of my hearty eaters have refused food for a couple of weeks now. Even with the correct temps in the enclosures.

Well, that's the thing--he WASN'T musking me, for months. Was perfectly chill about being picked up. It's just recently that he's starting getting pissy about it.

I already get musked every time I picked up my garter, I enjoyed having a snake who didn't do that. :P

Re: Winter attitude change?

Something similar happens to me, with my sinaloan milk, (although it doesn't poops on me) she's kinda nervous when I handle her or I'm trying to feed her. I blame the weather too, she was really sweet and tame some months ago, and nothing has changed with the way I handle her. We'll see!
