quick question
This is not meant to start any kind of debate. Just answer the question and if possible state where you got your info from.
Since the invasion of Burms, Boas and Rocks, in Florida, has there been any reported human deaths, from these snakes, in the wild?

Re: quick question
List of fatal snake bites in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Other than the above listing of fatal snakebites in the US, I can't find anything about wild Burmese pythons in the Everglades killing people. There have been instances of wild snakes eating people's pets, but I don't think any people have been killed yet, in the US. I'm really curious as to whether anyone else can find any more solid stats?

Re: quick question
I can't remember where I read it, but I'd heard that 99% of the wild Burm population died out in Florida this past winter. Southern Florida got some frost and freezing temperatures, albeit briefly, but Burmese pythons are not built to survive ANY temperatures even close to freezing. I'll have to try to find my source for that information....

Re: quick question
There have been several winters that have really put a hurt on there population. Which should be obvious for someone who knows snakes. But apparently there are "professionals" that are either on the take, or have a personal interest in lying to the government and public about these animals. As far as human fatalities, I have not heard of any. Which to me means it hasn't happened. If it had, the media would have started a $h*t storm about it.

Re: quick question
I found this, not sure how legit it is though.
http://www.humanesociety.org/assets/...ke-attacks.pdf
edit: Scratch that, most of these are attacks which are mislabeled as kills, and they're over dramatic haha, so ignore that, I'll keep looking

Re: quick question
You can be certain, that any information about snakes provided by the humane society, should be looked over with extreme scrutiny.

No reported deaths from giant constrictors from the wild in the US. I live in Florida so believe me, if anything like this happens it'll be on my local news.
