Re: Outback Reptiles
I am seeing a good mix. and most of the bad are just idiots. imo. I mean you cant expect a wc to be perfect ever. my question is about fb monitors. is there a chance that they could be as tame as some of the cbb that I have seen. or are they just too wild. I want to get one as well but I am on the fence because of this. I have never delt with him but I do know a few people who have and generally it is positive. my understanding is if you just want to buy something and don't care about extensive cust. service than he is your guy. I just hope someone here has experience with fb water monitors and could tell us more.

Re: Outback Reptiles
FB= Farm Breed.
Thats what I was seeing too, mixed reviews.
I heard that watermonitors in general can be more "docile" then most other monitors, but they are a large animal that deserves respect none-the-less, so force handling is never recomended

Re: Outback Reptiles
With patience and work most water monitors do calm down regardless of farmed, wild caught or captive bred. They most certainly deserve respect. Even tame ones can inadvertently do damage.

Re: Outback Reptiles
If you're really looking into getting a water, get in touch with Kristopher Brown/Vital Exotics or Brad Salzwedel on Facebook, both are routinely producing some stunning babies, it's worth the extra cash to get a CBB baby that's been properly cared for rather than a farmed baby in less-than-perfect conditions.
Here are some of Kris's and Brad's babies, respectively.

Re: Outback Reptiles
Outback Reptiles is normally W/C. You get what you pay for. I have never had any luck with them personally.

Re: Outback Reptiles
Yes, Brad only sells normals so far as I'm aware. Vital has been focusing on morphs lately but still produces normals.

They're about the same as Vital's, sometimes more depending on how pretty they are.
