dull scales?

So my baby rainbow has a few dull scales, it doesn't look like retained shed but I was hoping it would clear up when he shed again, which he did a few days ago and instead it seems there are a few more dull scales. He has been eating fine, his overall humidity stays at 80 percent, even on the rare occasion that the humidity dips there is still damp moss for him to burrow in. When he shed it was hard to get a good look at the shed, it got soggy. It was in about three pieces but was complete as far as I could tell, he looked great after aside from these random scales. They are on his back and a couple on his head. Any idea what it is, should I be concerned?

Re: dull scales?

It's hard to tell from the picture, C.A.L., but it could be a fungal issue, or a loss of pigment in those scales (I've seen snakes within individual scales or small patches fade to a grayish white). Can you get a better shot?
