How much food for a baby spotted python?

So I just fed my baby spotted python for the second time. He last ate 5 days ago. I fed him one pinky about the size of his body but it may have been a little too small I'm thinking. He slithered out of his log after swallowing it, and was biting towards my fingers outside the glass like he was still hungry. Should I feed him another?

I feed young snakes pretty heartily. My 2 month old bull snake get 2-3 pinks every 5-7 days.

1-2 pinks every 5-6 days should be fine. You can mix up larger and smaller meals and vary the feeding frequency. I don't have any recent experience with pythons but I feed my colubrids 10-15% of their body weight per feeding.

I agree with the last post. It depends on the animals body weight also, but I have a Spotted yearling that I feed two pinks every 5 days or so, within a couple months it was two peaches every 5 days, and now a year in the beast is devouring two hoppers every week! Eats them off tongs for me and has never turned down a meal! My spotted weighs about 130 grams and I feed him about 20-25 grams of prey once a week. For a youngster, I do not mind pushing almost 20% of body weight in food intake.
