Please recommend a high-end enclosure
I'm considering purchasing a kingsnake. My wife and I want to put him/her in the family room. So, we'd like an enclosure that we can be proud to display. In the past, my enclosures have been hidden away so it was ok if they were simple plastic terrariums sitting on a goofy stand with a heat lamp clamped onto the side ![Smilie](http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif) .
I'm a "buy it not build it" kind of a guy, so I'd appreciate suggestions of enclosure brands that might fit the bill.

What size are you looking for?
Animal Plastics
Boaphile
Constrictors Northwest(Ed Lilley)
PVCcages(Jim Sharphorn)
They are all nice.

Re: Please recommend a high-end enclosure
Pretty much everything that mikoh posted are probably your best bets as far as the best enclosures. Personally I have not dealt with any of them, but from what I hear they are the best. I'm going to side with constrictors northwest. I like the design and you can't beat the prices. You do however have to assemble the enclosures I'm not sure if that's a problem for you or not. But it looks easy enough. They also have 3d backgrounds that are a tad pricey but look really cool. Which ever you choose, they are all great enclosures.

Re: Please recommend a high-end enclosure
I have only dealt with Ed Lilly at Constrictors Northwest and he is terrific to work with. His cages look great, are very well made (available in three colors, black, white and grey) and he will make custom sized cages if you need one. You can go to his website at Constrictors Northwest to look at his products.

Out of the one's I've mentioned I've tried PVCcages and Animal Plastics. Both were easy to assemble(I'm not a handy guy at all). Looking at pictures of Constrictors NW, I'd say that's probably the easiest to assemble because of the sliding/joint construction.

Thanks for the responses. I'll check those vendors out.
Assembly is not a problem. I'm not entirely inept with tools ![Wink](http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif) ...I'm just not into designing and building something from scratch.

It would be for a kingsnake so I don't need something super-huge. However, I would like something of decent size since it's going to be in a rather vacant corner of the family room. So, I was thinking that the enclosure itself could be 60-75 gallons. If it sat on some sort of a cabinet or stand, that would probably work.

All great cages. I house my kings and black milk in a ap t10. They are 48x24x15. I think it's a great size for just about any large colubrid.

Re: Please recommend a high-end enclosure
For a kingsnake I would go no smaller than 3x2 of floor space. As sharthun mentioned 4x2 is a pretty decent size.

All of those look clean and professional, but if you're looking for a really nice display and you have the cash, nothing beats Cages by Design for appearance. Very expensive though.

I love my proline (constrictors NW). I am not sure I would call them a true display cage, as they (and all plastic cages) can look a little strange in a nicely furnished living room, but they aren't bad looking at all. I am very happy with mine and have zero complaints. Here's mine with one of the 3D backgrounds kwhitlock mentioned. I think it gives the cage a very nice look. The light is for display purposes only, when showing her off to close friends and family.

Re: Please recommend a high-end enclosure
If you are not a fan of assembly, the Boaphile enclosures come fully assembled and with any extras you may want already installed. Customer service is not the best there, but the product is top notch
