New Jungle carpet python

Today I acquired this baby Jungle carpet python. I did my research before I purchased her. But if you guys could give me any extra advice it would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures of her and her enclosure.
Thanks for reading.

Re: New Jungle carpet python

I would suggest more branches that she can perch on, going from one side of the cage to the other and some at different heights for different temperatures gradients. A digital thermometer/hygrometer, at least one hide on the warm side and one on the cool side, and I would cover the top of your enclosure with foil, leaving a hole for the light, so you don't lose so much humidity. Heat lamps tend to dry out the air and screen tops lose a lot of humidity, also. Maybe cover three sides of the enclosure with dark construction paper to help her feel more secure.

Put in hides, and get a thermostat for the heat lamp asap. All heat sources must be controlled.

Re: New Jungle carpet python

Nice carpet, I really like her pattern. I agree with the others cover three sides, get some hides, branches and a thermostat. I'd go with a uth or rhp as a primary heat source. I'm not a fan of heat lamps but I've heard they can work when the temps are controlled. Best wishes.
