Smile Can anyone identify this wild snake in Indonesia?

While touring through indonesia by motorcycle I found this guy lying in the middle of the road. At first I thought it was a large leaf but when I got closer I noticed it was a snake and just barely was able to dodge it. We parked along the road and checked if it had been run over; this didn't seem to be the case (though on these 2 pictures it might look like it).

We discussed if we should pick it up and throw it off the road, but it was too risky because we had no idea if it was venonous or not. Anyways, we found it in the island Sumbawa, it was about 1.5 meters long and about 6 centimeters at the widest point (It also looked like it has got a nice meal not long ago :P).

Does anyone know which kind of snake it could have been? Thanks!

PS: sorry for the blurry pictures; they are taken with the camera of my phone and I didn't want to come closer than a few meters. I have got some sharper pictures from my actual camera and I'll post those when I get back home in a few days.

I'd say it's a Coelognathus subradiatus.

I do not recognize it but the head and build strongly favors a rat snake so I googled Indonesian Rat Snake and Coelognathus subradiatus came up. Looks very similar. Just my best guess.

Edit: Pirarucu beat me to it!

Oh wow, I didn't expect to get a response this fast! It does certainly look like a Coelognathus Subradiatus, it also had the black line behinds its eyes.

Funnily, I can't find too much information about this species. Does it not have a "non-Latin" name? I couldn't another name than the Latin one and what seemed to be a German one (Indonesische Kletternatter).

Anyways, thanks for the fast and (probably :P) accurate response!
