regurgitation!

I fed my new amazon tree boa a small mouse (which is actually a small meal for her) Sunday and wassnt here Monday night or all Tuesday. I just got home today and opened the snake cage to get her out and it smelled horrible. I found a regergitated mouse. I cleaned the mouse out, but I'm not sure when she regurgitated. I think the reason she probably did was because I fed her su day night and held her Monday afternoon. Anyways, how long should I wait to feed her again? I'm leaving tomorrow to go on vacation and won't be back for a little over a week. Should I try to feed her today or wait until I get back? Also, the smell was so badI wanted to vomit with just a few seconds of smelling it. The snake coulve been exposed to this for over 24hours and I'm worried that this could make her sick. Any addvice will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Sorry, I actually fed her Saterday night and held her Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon

i would give it a couple of weeks then offer prey

From what I've read on the forums it just depends. You want to give her time for her digestive system to rest, especially if the issue is with the digestive system. If you think she just threw up because you were handling here then I've seen people offer food right away without any issues. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will confirm. As for it making her sick, that would be based more on the fact that a dead body may have been in her cage for over a day, which can spread a LOT of bacteria and illness related issues. I would throughly clean the tank just to be safe.

I NEVER handle my snake until 36 after feeding otherwise you'll have the problem you face yourself with. You could feed straight away again but my personal opinion I'd leave her be until you get back then feed so you know she'll be very hungry and will take the mouse without any problems. If you did feed straight away don't be worried if she doesn't take it.

I'm spraying down everything with Lysol disinfectant spray right now then rinsing it with hot water. I'll wait until I get back to feed her.

I would wait two weeks, offer a smaller meal and not handle for 48hrs after eating. Atbs can be finicky to get feeding sometimes but once you get them on a routine they are monsters. Just be patient and try not to rush things. This is what I did when one of mine regurged when I first got her and now she is a machine. It ended up being that I was offering too big of a meal. It was an appropriate sized rodent for her size but she did better with a smaller meal. I'm my experience, they do a lot better with smaller meals while they are still acclimating to their new environment.
