Can recessive genes show through?

i just bought a normal motley corn snake and i can see in her colors that she slightly resembles a caramel motley. the breeders told me there was a degree of unknown in reguards to the possible hets, so it is very possible she carries the caramel gene. the thing is she looks almost half normal and half caramel. if she is het caramel, is it possible for it to slightly affect her appearance in the direction of caramel?

They call them 'markers' I believe. Clues or hints that can help tell if something is a het.

Re: Can recessive genes show through?

her belly goes from white near her head to a caramel brown half way down all the way to the tail. i noticed in a picture of a caramel motley belly, they go from white to brown as well.
