How can I build a terrarium like this, not the dimensions but type.
PVC Terrarium

Can someone link me to the exact material I need to buy lowes/home depot?
Possibly a detailed tutorial?

Those are not usually made out of PVC, but rather extruded plastic material similar to this https://www.interstateplastics.com/k...FSMV7AodKGsAJQ

You can use 3/8 inch board and work it with regular woodworking tools. They use either clear acrylic or tempered glass for the doors depending on the manufacturer of the cages.

What Jim said. Honestly it is not very cheap. I build my own enclosures because I like making my own dimensions. If you are planning on building something similar to "stock" dimensions I would suggest just buying from animal plastics over making it y ourself

Sorry- my phones wierd with this website sonetimes:
*yourself.
A 4x8 sheet of 1/2" pvc costs almost $260 and around $200 to ship. You can order 2x4 sheets for around $65 and they cost about $110 to ship.

Re: PVC Terrarium?

Conversely I can build the frame of an entire 4x8 enclosure for $70 all finished wood. It costs me about another 120$ or so for the doors.

Re: PVC Terrarium?

There maybe someone local to you that custom builds them as well. Saves you shipping, and you can inspect the enclosure before a purchase.

Re: PVC Terrarium?

I guess I'll have to find someone who builds them, you can use heat tape on those right?

Re: PVC Terrarium?

If you buy a T-8 (4x2x1, I think that's what they call it) from Animal Plastics it's $120 + shipping and you can put a center divider in and it will house both of your snakes for their entire lives without problem.

I live in the Mid-West (Missouri), not having luck either finding local custom enclosure builders.

Where in Missouri? Animal Plastics is in Des Moines, IA. Could be fairly close to you. When I was in NE I drove there to pick up cages. They were ok with me stopping by the shop on a Sunday to pick it up.

3 hours away, that's awesome they allow that.
I might end up doing that, I couldn't imagine how expensive shipping would be!

Re: PVC Terrarium?

It's not too bad since they ship them disassembled and let you put them together yourself. AP has always been easy to work with. Great guys.
