Question about enclosure for my retic

Hello everybody!
I will appreciate any help with this question...
I have a female retic who is about 11.3 ft and 11 kg. I have to build her a larger enclosure by now, so, if she will met the 22 ft in a future, the eclosure need to be around 11-14 ft lengh. I keep my snakes (3 boas and this retic) in a small room... so, the larger wall in there, is only about 9 ft lengh, now, in order to meet the 14 ft, l have to make the enclosure like an "L" (the 9 ft on the larger wall, then, turn over the smaller wall, for the other 5 ft)

My question is: Is it convinient for my retic to build the eclosure like an "L" or it need to be the 14 ft straight...??

Thanks............

Yes, an L shape will be fine. Be sure to post pictures, I'd love to see some of a retic in a nice big cage.

I would love to see a wrap-around cage like that. Sounds awesome.

27 square foot total. Plenty big enough for even the largest retic.

Hi, it used to be the visitor's room... so, l don't get them anymore ....haha!

the room is 10.5 ft x 9.5 ft but, due to the door and window, the "L" should be 10.5ft x 5.5ft and 2ft width..

Hi! Due to the available space in the room, the L should be like 10.5ft x 5.5ft and 2ft width.. more or less like your draw, with different measures.

Re: Question about enclosure for my retic

I hope it will have a good display, but my only concern is if the L will be useful... I wonder, what if the lady will be wrapped in the corner anyway...

Re: Question about enclosure for my retic

I would make it wider than two feet, that's pretty thin for a large retic.

Re: Question about enclosure for my retic

No need to have it 10.5ft long on one side unless you want it to be. If the square footage of the floor is equal to or greater than the length of the snake you're good. An 8x3 will house even the largest of retics so your dimensions are quite big unless you want them that big. If that's what you're going for that's awesome and I can't wait to see what it looks like when done. I love seeing big displays with big snakes.

I have another idea: what if I build the enclosure in 2 steps... STEP 1: build it straight... according to my available space, it cuould be 10.5ft x 2.5ft (26ft square) actually my girl is 11ft lengh, in other words, this eclosure will fit her until she gets the 20 ft... so, when it happens, I can go fot the STEP 2: to modify the straight enclosure, building the other part of the "L" haha...
(I´m driving crazy..)

Re: Question about enclosure for my retic

You could always just turn the whole room into an enclosure.

Entirely possible, but be sure when constructing the 10ft section that it will be easy to just build and attach the other part when the time comes. Otherwise it will be more trouble than it's worth.

Re: Question about enclosure for my retic

Would you be able to make it something like Millertime89 suggests but rather than L-shaped, have the front of the cage go straight across to the other end of the cage, utilizing the entire corner of the room. I'm not describing it very well but it would end up in a five sided polygon shape. Just an idea...
