Question Calico GTPs

New to GTP's and really just catching up on all things reptiles as of late. Wow, there's some amazing animals out there! Anyway, I don't know much about dominant and co-dominant and recessive genes and breeding but read that the Calico trait is not passed on and is a luck of the draw, really. Is that the case? Is there a likelihood of an offspring of a calico parent to develop the calico appearance or is it really just a shot in the dark?

Re: Calico GTPs

Absolutely!
That is unless you deal with a highly diluted Calico. In other words, one that was randomly bred to a generic "green" non-designer, or one that was and is "falsely" represented. There are plenty of these that unfortunately have stemmed from a breeder that fortunately was called on it and is now out of the industry.
