Sure do! This was my first time ever seeing one, in all honesty I was really surprised by how small she was!

You and me both. I'm really hoping what they had her in was only for travel, it had a very small water bowl, screen top, no hide except the piece of wood shown in the pic, and that doesn't even really count. I have my doubts that it was only for travel though as when I looked over-head it had a rather unpleasant smell and there were a few pieces of shed skin in there.

Re: Eastern Massasauga (Sistrurus Catenatus Catenatus)
Most likely it was for educational displays. The last thing you want with hots is a lot of extra junk cluttering up their enclosure. Whenever I do educational shows and I bring an animal that I want visible but not to be handled I do similar things.

Re: Eastern Massasauga (Sistrurus Catenatus Catenatus)
You should have just asked the owner if it was for display or if the snake lived in that tank. People ask me that question all the time at my displays. I jokingly tell them, Oh no there enclosures are much smaller than that. LOL

Re: Eastern Massasauga (Sistrurus Catenatus Catenatus)
Yeah, I didn't really think to ask til after we left, I doubt it was her permanent enclosure, its just the fact that it had an odor that kinda threw me off. I would hope DNR would know better than to keep her like that.
