What kind of snake is this?

Our family was hiking outside of Atlanta, GA and seen this snake inside a tree. we couldn't get a real good look at it, but was able to take this snap shot of the body.

Looks like a rat snake of some kind. Maybe a corn? Hard to tell for sure.

From the smooth, shiny scales and pattern looks like a mole king snake to me.

It's difficult to tell from the photo, but I suspect that it's either a Pine Snake or a Rat Snake. Both harmless. Here's a link to snakes of SC, NC and GA you may find helpful.

Looks like a Prairie Kingsnake to me. It is harmless, what ever it is.

Yep, has Prairie king or mole king snake patterns.

Based off the pic it looks more like a ratsnake to me (I to would guess cornsnake) but a better pic would be great.

My first thought was mole king, but it also could be a corn. Cool find either way.
