My first catch of the season

So, last weekend, I was on a retreat with our men's group form church clearing brush and dead trees from an area around the Illinois River in eastern Oklahoma. All of the guys know I'm a snake guy, so when we stumbled over this little guy, they let me secure and relocate him before he was bludgeoned into oblivion by the other 20 guys on the retreat. Glad he got to swim off safely.

Super jealous, and glad you got to save the little guy and not end up treating someone for a cottonmouth bite. I find a lot of agkistrodon contortrix around me. Every year I search for crotolus horridus around me(theyve been wiped out in large areas from people)to no avail. Maybe this year.
