These thermostats any good?
Jumpstart by HydroFarm. Need to order one for when I get my Corn Snake. I don't want to wait much longer to order it, since the reptile expo is creeping up on me quickly!!!!!!!!!

They are ON / OFF Thermostats. Generally, for a lamp you want a proportional. Not sure about CHE's.

Re: These thermostats any good?
I don't think the element in the lamp would last very long being turned on and off constantly.

I don't see why not, but I would imagine that the bulb wouldn't last as long constantly turning on and off.

Re: These thermostats any good?
I've got 3 hydrofarm t-stats and they all work great. For $35 I think they're definitely worth trying. I also had a infrared bulb on a hydrofarm t-stat. I couldn't take the constant off an on after a couple of weeks

Thanks. I will only be using mine for a heat mat. Lamps don't like being turned off and on frequently.

I think the hydrofarms are great for just controlling UTH's. I've had no issues.

Re: These thermostats any good?
I use Hydrafarms on flexwatt and RHPs. Never had an issue.
