Question A bit confused with breeding

Hello Everyone!

I have an offer to breed my blonde spotted python but i don't know much about what is going to happen...

I always feed her outside of the cage so what will happen if i put her in for breeding and she doesn't get touched for 3 months and gets fed in the cage?
My main question is will she get snappy if that happens?
She is a lovely snake and is never snappy so i don't want her personality to change.

Thanks

Re: A bit confused with breeding

Breeding her will cause hormone fluctuations and can cause some personality changes but it usually isn't permanent.

As for feeding in the enclosure it won't affect her personality for that reason.

However, I do find my female snakes become eating machines and a little more ravenous during breeding season.

Funny enough, the months that have the highest number of births in America are July, August, and September(August being the highest). So winter just like a lot of reptiles.

Or anytime alcohol is involved.lol

Re: A bit confused with breeding

According to my late grandmother, human mating season differs per individual. Something to do with birthday-mating xD for the married ones..
