Question fire belly newt

I just got a baby fire belly newt. He the newt is so cute. I was wondering what i can feed him besides the newt food pellets i got at the pet store.

I use to feed my newt a very thin strip of shrimp. I would put it on a stick and wiggle it and he loved it... it was funny bc his belly would b so fat after one tiny piece

Bloodworms, blackworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, earthworms, and pinhead crickets.

Out of those, mine went especially crazy for the worms, ESPECIALLY the blackworms. Newts love 'em!

Try calling all your local pet stores, see if any have them/can order them. My local exotics pet store (sold a lot of reptiles) carried them.
