Random Inara pictures from tonight.

Not super great pictures but I found Inara coiled up sleeping on her hammock tonight and snapped two pictures. This is the first time I've actually seen her use the hammock.

Most of the snakes I've given hammocks to, love them. Stormy (corn snake) was always in her's, until she outgrew them last year. They were okay when she was around 400 plus grams but now that she has gotten up to 700 plus, even the biggest ones I can find won't stay up.

Very nice!! I have thought about making hammocks for my snakes (since i also make them for my rats) but i thought i would be very hard to do for larger species.. What material is this hammock made of?

using eye and hook screws to hold them in place would be good for heavier snakes

Re: Random Inara pictures from tonight.

These are store bought hammocks, made by Zoo Med. They are made with nylon and have suction cups, why they work okay for lighter snakes but won't support heavier ones. They are actually marketed for lizards. I've thought about trying to make my own for the bigger snakes like Stormy but haven't gotten around to it.
