Help my python has blood blisters

i noticed about two weeks ago that my baby ball python had a blister on his side at that time it was quite small and hardly noticeable i thought it would go away and that it was a heat blister so i turned the temp slightly down in his cage i use dark brown wood chips and there is some cardboard in his tank from when he was at my dads house. can i use iodine to treat him?

Re: Help my python has blood blisters

I'm not sure what it could be, but I'd recommend neosporin.

I've heard you can use polysporin but I might be wrong.

As long as it doesn't have pain reliever in it, you should be fine.

Anything with a gel in it will make the healing process take longer. Make sure the wound is clean and not infected and keep the snake on paper towels or new paper, until it is healed.

Re: Help my python has blood blisters

with out pictures it's not possible to give you an opinion mate

if it's blisters caused by burns its a different treatment,to blisters caused by too much dampness (water blisters)

cheers shaun
