hello all
Hi! I'm Jen.
After much research, I finally got my first snake!
He's a California King Black and White Aberrant, I think.
I'm excited to have him in our family and looking forward to many years together.
I rescued him, his previous owner had him in very nasty (his last shed and tons of poop were in the cage), hard dirt covered, one huge hide (like big enough for a full grown, and I think he's only about 2-3 months at the most.), no toys, and no proper heat, the heat bulb he was using was blown.
I now have him setup with two small hides, one on each side, an under tank heating pad, and since I've only had him a few days, plain paper towels, just to make sure his previous conditions didnt make him sick. I'll move to a good substrate on Friday if he doesn't show any signs of illness.
The guy didnt remember when he last fed him, so we are waiting until Thursday to feed him, let him settle in and such.
We are holding him regularly for very short periods, he is doing well, hasn't tried to bite or anything.
I am sure I will have tons of questions for you all, but I will try my best to search the forums for answers first!
